The new heat pump tumble dryers illustrate their clear ecologically sustainable effect. Thanks to our heat pump technology, energy consumption for drying laundry is halved, resulting in the award of the highest grade for tumble dryers on the Energy Label.
Our products achieve the highest classification "A+++"
The top products in the laundry technol-ogy branch of the business are especially attractive with excellent ecological performance values. The consistent focus on minimal consumption of water, electricity and detergent in the washing process means that even washing machines for “large” shared occupancy homes can achieve the highest classification A+++ (for minimum water and energy consumption and maximum spin effectiveness) under the “energieEtikette” scheme, the proven measure of the environment friendliness of state of the art technology.
Certification and voluntary commit-ment to the environment
The demands for certifying a company’s environmental management policies according to ISO 14001 are high. Schulthess Maschinen AG decided to pursue certification in 2001, setting itself the goal of structuring all internal processes according to consistent environmental criteria. The certification at that time and the regular subsequent certifications by the Bureau Veritas Certification authorities responsible confirm the sustainability of these efforts. In addition, Schulthess has also joined the programme organised by Energie-Agentur der Wirtschaft to actively reduce CO2 emissions and optimise energy efficiency. This programme is a voluntary contribution by industry to-wards sustainable climate protection.
